Thamra means 'fruit' in Arabic: what grows from good roots, patience and care. It began in 2017 as Younus Alshammary's idea of a space where the craft of the image comes first, and became an official company in 2022. We've worked with the Ministry of Culture, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the Sharjah Social Services Department and the Emirates Red Crescent, making films that leave something behind.

Younus has led more than 300 projects across his career, working with the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Media and Sharjah TV. He founded Thamra to bring a cinematic eye to every brief.

Tariq guides corporate and government projects across the UAE from initial concept through wrap. His focus ensures seamless logistics and elevated story execution.

Layla shapes the visual tone and pacing of Thamra productions. She brings deep technical color grading knowledge to commercial and documentary releases.
